| While you might be able to root a cutting, in most cases this type of tree is grafted to control the point where the cascading effect begins in terms of the tree's overall height. In general, cherries root well from cuttings taken during the summer and treated with a rooting hormone according to the label instructions. Cuttings taken in May and June tend to root, too, but at a lower percentage success rate. |
