Any good quality top soil will serve the purpose nicely. After filling your raised bed with top soil, spread a 3"-4" layer of organic matter over the top and till or dig it in to a depth of 8"-10". An organic amendment will help the soil drain well yet hold just the right amount of moisture, and it will provide nutrients to the roots of the plants and the matter decomposes. I use aged-compost or leaf mold when I work my beds in the spring.

Hope you have a terrific tomato harvest!
