The Q&A Archives: Hardy For Zone 5

Question: Is hydrangea microphylla hardy for growth in the garden for zone 5?

Answer: Do you mean Hydrangea macrophylla? I've never heard of microphylla. If you are referring to the former, it is hardy in USDA zones 6-10. Hydrangea paniculum 'Grandiflorum' or PeeGee Hydrangea would be hardy in your zone though.
