I live in Norco,CA. our summers are very hot and winters are mild, I need a border plant that can withstand sun all day and heat (our summers reach over 100 easily). Will Plumbago grow here? |
Some of the plants that seem to thrive in arid gardens include yarrow, aloe, artemisia, coreopsis, gaillardia, liatris, oenothera, penstemmon, plumbago, salvia, sedum, tithonia and zinnia. Be sure to work organic matter into the soil prior to planting to help the soil retain moisture. Mulch over the top with additional organic matter and you'll help suppress weeds, as well. |
