Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash, and melons are planted in the garden after all danger of frost because they are not at all cold tolerant. Tomatoes and peppers are usually set out as transplants, but the others can be direct seeded about two weeks after the last frost when the soil has warmed up.
