My father plants his okra when the famers plant their cotton. He lives in Arkansas (zone 7). I live in Pennsylvania (also zone 7), is it safe for me to plant my okra at the same time? |
Okra is sensitive to soil temperature at planting time, so that would be your better guide. The soil should be at a minimum between 60 and 65 degrees; a rule of thumb would make that about ten days after you transplant tomatoes outside, or two weeks after your last frost. |
