Brown tips on houseplant leaves is usually a sign of overwatering. Most houseplants should be watered thoroughly, then allowed to dry out somewhat between watering. Rather than watering on a schedule, check the soil with your finger, then water only when necessary.

Other things can cause brown tips, including low humidity, underwatering, and insects. But overwatering is the most common cause.
