We have a beautiful Peace Lily but it continuously has leaves that turn yellow and the flowers turn brown and die off. It is approximately 16 inches high in a 5" pot. It drains well into another container when I water it. What am I doing wrong?

These can be tricky plants. They need to be kept evenly moist, or they'll wilt dramatically. However, if you overwater them, they'll get brown tips and yellow leaves. The plants prefer bright light, but with little or no direct sun. It sounds like the container may be a little small for the plant. You could try transplanting it into a 7" pot, using quality potting soil. The larger soil mass will retain water better, so perhaps you can water it less often and keep the soil more evenly moist.

I hope this helps!
