| Hi! Hope this isn't a silly question, but...My husband and I were at the Rose Bowl flea market on Sunday, I spotted a stand selling bamboo shoots. They real calling them the Luck Tree. There was a bit of a language problem, so I didn't get any info on the care of my new shoot. The rest of their display were all in various forms of water contianers, none were in soil. How do I mantain this shoot? |
| Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena Sanderana) has become an extremely popular plant here in the U.S. The shoot will grow in water only so does not require any soil. An inch or two of water is all it takes to keep your bamboo growing. The more water you add, the faster it grows. You can add decorative rocks and plant it in a pot. Keep your bamboo away from direct sunlight and change the water about once a month if it gets dirty. Hope it brings you good luck! |
