A gardening book said you needed more than one type and plant of blueberries in order for them to reproduce. Is this true for todays domesticated bluberries?

Many blueberry varieties will produce fruit if you have a single plant or many plants of just one variety, but they'll produce a better crop if you have a second variety there to cross pollinate them.
