I had a prolific Scuppernong that was struck by lightning & killed. I planted some of the seed, have a vine that is 10 years old, loads with blooms every year but no fruit. I bought a Cowart muscadine, is about 5 years old but does not pollinate the Scuppernong. What can I do to pollinate my Scuppernong? |
I am mystified. The Cowart should serve as a pollinizer unless it blooms at a different time from the Scuppernong you grew from seed. You might find the information at the following Clemson University page helpful in determining a more likely pollinizer based on bloom times. http://hgic.clemson.edu/factsh... I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. |
