Question: I have planted a Burpee Spacemaster' cucumber in my small outdoor garden prepared with top soil, cow manure and mulch. I have harvested some beautiful looking cucumbers but, they were hollow (seedless). What caused this to happen? I looked in your library of questions and found that someone else had a similar problem with pickling cucmbers. Though we live in different states, could I also have a boron and calcium deficiency. I have read somewhere that a seedless cucumber (other than European)is caused by lack of pollination, could this be true? Thank you. Jean Cogswell Tarpon Springs, FL

When singular and plural spellings differ, as in peony and peonies, try both.
