I recently purchased 3 bridal white spirea in hopes of bringing some color to the end of my home that receives no sunlight at all. In reading up on this shrub I have found out that it will bloom in shade but the blooms are more spectacular in full sun. Do I need to find a new location for this beautiful shrub?

Spirea does best in full sun all day, or at least a half a day of sunshine. In a very shady location it will grow very open and wispy and as a result there will be far fewer blooms. You might be disappointed if you plant it in a dark location.
