Can I plant Stargazer lily bulbs now? If so, should I expect them to grow and flower this summer?

Lily bulbs should be planted as soon as they are available so that they have time to root and become established before the hot summe weather. Lilies that are container grown and acclimated to the outdoors can also be planted whenever they are available. Newly planted bulbs should bloom this summer as long as they are large enough to be considered "blooming size". They should also continue to grow and increase from year to year so that their blooming improves over time. Enjoy!
