We want to know how long you should let a cut seed potatoe dry before planting it. We have asked this question of several other sources and our answers range from 1 day to 1 week and many never heard of drying
the cut potato prior to planting them.

There are probably any number of successful ways to do this, but in my experience the cut potatoes do well after about a day of drying. Some gardeners will leave them longer in the hopes that they may presprout and of course, smaller seed potatoes of just one or two ounces can be planted without any cutting at all.
