I love hanging pots on my porch but every spring the birds build nests in my plants. I have tried plastic frogs and snakes to no avail. Is there any thing else I can try?

You might try making a cage of wire mesh or bird netting around each hanging basket during the nesting season and then removing it later. You could also try stringing a network of heavy nylon fishing line across the tops of the plants and pots to confuse the birds' depth perception. The shiny metallic bird scare tape might also work although it is a bit gaudy up close.
