The Q&A Archives: Money Plant

Question: The leaves have small dark blotches and the base of the leaf goes black then fall off.
What is the cause and the cure?

Answer: Money plant is Lunaria, an annual that thrives in full sun or part shade and average to dry soil. If the leaves on your plant are getting blotches, I suspect conditions are too shady or too wet for the plant. You can pinch back or cut the affected stems from the plant to encourage healthy new growth. Be sure to provide the sun and dry conditions it craves. Hope it regains its health soon!
