| My Garlic Chives did great last year and have returned early this Spring. They don't look the same, however. The typically thin, hollow shafts are not present, instead they look flatter, more like long grass. Is this common? Should I cut them back? |
| In my experience, mature garlic chives tend to have wider, flatter foliage than the purple-flowered garden chives while the seedlings are virtually indistinguishable. You can certainly cut them back to harvest them, but it will not change the leaves if you do. |
