| I purchased a bouquet from a florist which contained something he called "leptosporum" (I am spelling it as it sounded). I cannot find it in any plant/shrub encyclopedia, and would like to know more about it. It seems to be long soft wood stem cuttings with tiny pink buds along the length of the stem. The buds open to tiny rose-like flowers. Around each bud are several spikey, tiny dark green leaves, reminiscent of rosemary leaves. Can you tell me more about this plant and if it can be grown in my zone? (The florist said it would be very difficult.) |
| Unfortunately, Leptospermum scoparium (Broom Teatree) grows only in very warm areas such as zones 9 and 10. It can be grown as a container plant as one would grow tropicals in a conservatory. It originates from New Zealand. |
