A pussy willow is a type of willow (salix) and there are several types sold as pussy willow. Most of them grow ultimately to be small trees. The little furry cat's feet are the buds of the tree. They are frequently available at garden centers and nurseries in early spring and through catalogs such as Wayside Gardens 800-845-1124 ( or http://www.waysidegardens.com ).
