I am a Horticulturist and soon to be Arborist in British Columbia, Canada.

How could I become an 'e horticulturist', like all of you.

Helping people to bring out the best
in their plant material is right up my alley.

The short answer to your question would be "years of hard work plus dumb luck" but the long answer would be more complex. The e-world is growing very fast and there are many opportunities, but you'll need to surf to locate them and to be honest, there aren't too many for horticulturists per se. Writers may be more frequently sought. Often, openings are posted on the sites, but it never hurts to ask about any opportunities that may be lurking. Sites connected to bricks and mortar organizations might be better approached by contacting the organization itself to see if there might be a match somewhere. All the best in your search!
