I would like to know what would be the best flowers to plant on the south side of my home that would bloom the longest.

Warm-season annuals that take heat and sun and have fairly long bloom periods include sunflowers, tithonia, zinnia, coreposis, cosmos, gaillardia, black-eyed Susan, coneflower, lisianthus, petunia, and vinca.
