Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantina) grows best in full sun or light shade. If your garden gets either morning or afternoon shade but some direct sunshine, lamb's ear should be quite happy there. If the site is in full shade, you'll have better success with a different plant. A substitute you might consider is Lady's Mantle, which grows well in full shade and has gray-green foliage, similar to lamb's ear. (It isn't fuzzy, but it's similar in color.)
