We had unseasonably cold temperatures last night (29 degrees) and a hosta that was newly planted must have froze because the leaves are now brown. Is there any way to save this plant? |
Hosta foliage is very tender, as you have seen. Although the opened leaves were damaged, additional leaves shold grow from the center and will replace them. If another cold night threatens, cover the plant with an overturned cardboard box or laundry basket or similar improvised covering. |
