I purchased a fuchsia in hanging pot and placed it in a north-facing covered porch. What care does it need? I plan to take it inside in fall. I don't know anything about it but it's beautiful.

Fuchsia's are spectacular plants for hanging baskets! To provide lots of flowering stems, pinch the tips of your plant back now, and pinch it back regularly throughout the growing season. It's difficult for me to pinch my plants back, but I'm always rewarded with bushy growth and tons on flowers - so pinch, pinch, pinch! Fuchsia's need lots of water so plan on checking your plant daily, watering as needed. Once every week or two, take the plant down and immerse the pot in a large container of water. Leave it there until bubbles stop coming to the surface. This will throughly wet the rootmass and drive out any little air pockets around the roots. You can feed your plant a half-strength dilution of liquid plant food every 3 weeks to keep it performing at its best. Enjoy your new fuchsia!
