Best Annuals For Deck Boxes - Knowledgebase Question

I have 3 deck boxes built in to my deck they are 4feet by 2feet and I need help designing planting arrangements. They are all on the south east side of the house. I would like to plant annual flowers that will look nice all summer and that have a nice fragrance.

You will need to select annuals that like full sun and tolerate heat well. You might consider marigolds, zinnias, salvia, dusty miller, decorative sweet potato vines, and flowering vinca rosea. For fragrance, you might consider nicotiana (fragrant flowering tobacco), heliotrope, the "Daddy" series of petunias and some of the herbs such as lemon verbena, pineapple sage and curry plant.
