Some of the leaves on my marjoram are brown or grey at the tips. Could it be a sign of overwatering or underwatering, and how would I know the difference?

Marjoram grows best in full sunshine and prefers soil on the dry side, so if you're keeping the soil moist, I suspect the problem is overwatering. You can snip off the affected leaves, which will encourage the development of healthy new stems and leaves. Allow the soil to dry out a bit before watering again, and maintain this cycle for best results. Regular snipping and clipping will provide you with fresh herbs and will help your plant remain bushy.
