The Q&A Archives: Sources for Middle Eastern Cucumbers

Question: Since visiting the Middle East, we've been looking for similarly tasty cucumbers. LA times discussed a favorite called the BEIT TAMAR, which would be either Arabic or Hebrew. Great potential for world unity rests on finding these seeds which we would not risk smuggling. Do you have these seeds, or know where a domestic supplier is? Robert Holland Sacramento, CA

Answer: I don't know of a source for the Beit Tamar Middle Eastern cucumber, but I know of sources for other Middle Eastern cucumber varieties that should grow and taste as well. Try these varieties, 'Kidma' from, Shepherd's Garden Seeds 30 Irene St. Torrington, CT 06790 860-482-3638 'Amira' from, The Cooks Garden P.O. Box 535 Londonderry, VT 05148 800-457-9703
