Robbie, Your potato vines may be infected with one of the fungal blight diseases. Your County Extension Office (phone 334-682-4289) can assist by recommending an appropriate, labeled spray product for potato blight. However, there is little to be done for vines already heavily infected. Fungicide sprays are best applied at or just before the spots that lead to the major vine infections first appear in spring. This year's plants should still have a decent yield, although it may be reduced somewhat due to the loss of leaves. Thanks and please stop in and visit our website again soon! |
