We recently planted roses in a flower bed. The petals and leaves are wilting. Is this a common occurrence after initially planting them? |
That may be due to the shock of root loss in transplanting. It could also be due to dry soil or soggy-wet soil conditions. Overwatering causes the soil to stay too wet and the roots to lack for oxygen. The symptoms can often resemble drought symptoms. Be careful to keep the soil moist but not soggy-wet and hopefully the damage will not be too severe and the plant will recover soon. Thanks for the question.
