Is it possible to propagate irish moss by putting in the blender with water and painting it where you want it to grow or can this only be done with a true moss?

This process would only work with true moss; Iris moss is propagated by dividing it (usually with a knowfe making vertical cuts) into bits of "sod" and planting them.
