How do you start Jacaranda seeds? I have a tree in my front yard and have tried to start new trees from the seed pods with no luck.

The seeds have hard coats that need to be scarified to aid germination. Abrade or scrape them with sandpaper or soak in hot water, then let the water cool for 24 hours. Sow at a minimum of 59 degrees F. I hope this info helps!
