I want to plant some raspberry bushes but I have some black walnut trees on my propery. Can the two co-exist? If so, how far from the black walnut trees should I plant the raspberries?

Brambles are among those plants that are not usually adversely affected by the juglone form the black walnut tree. However, they do need sun and good rich soil and ample moisture, so you want to avoid putting them directly under the tree because it would outcompete them -- just as any other large tree would. As a rule of thumb, the tree roots could extend one and a half times the height of the tree, so that would be an ideal minimum distance.
