The Q&A Archives: Vegetables In Shade/partial Sun

Question: I have a garden that gets limited sunshine and I'd like to plant vegetables. What kinds would be best for growing in partial/sun and shade?

Answer: Some vegetables to try would be the leafy greens such as lettuce, spinach and chard, as well as root crops such as radish, turnips and beets, along with onions and grean beens. Cherry tomatoes are the most shade tolerant tomato and may produce some fruits for you. Additional edibles to consider are rhubarb, peas and herbs such as basil, chives, parsley, dill, fennel, and cilantro.
