The Q&A Archives: Light

Question: Does catnip require sunny or shady conditions or any special soil preparation? JoAnne VanRy Phoenix, NY

Answer: Catnip is fairly easy to grow, providing you don't have a cat with access to you garden! (Cats will dig, roll and dine in your catnip bed.) It likes well-drained, moderately fertile soil, and full sun or light shade. Catnip will self sow if allowed to drop seed.
