My pink jasmine has never bloomed. It has lots of foliage and sends out new growth but has never bloomed. It faces north so is in the shade mostly. Is that the problem?

Jasmine needs frequent pinching to keep it under control, but also to encourage development of new flowering stems. The plants prefer part sun to part shade but not full shade. If your plant isn't flowering, perhaps it needs more direct sunlight. Provide rich, moist soil, feed occasionally during the growing season, and pinch it back now to promote new flowering wood.
