Please tell us an effective, yet safe way of keeping birds away from flowering wreaths. We tried using a strong perfume on the wreath, but to no avail. Thank you for help!

In some cases the birds are there in search of insects, so check the wreaths carefully for that. Next, if the wreaths include dried material, the birds may be in search of seeds. I'm not sure there is a solution to that except possibly keeping a well stocked feeder to use as a decoy. The same would be true if they are there in search of water, a bird bath may prove more attractive. Finally, some gardeners have had success stringing heavy weight fishing line above the surface; this confuses the birds' depth perception so they will not land there. I hope this helps.
