Is it ok to plant herbs (or any other plants) in a clear glass container? Will this affect the growth at all?

If you are thinking of using the container as one would an ordinary pot, you will need to make some sort of drainage hole in the bottom to allow excess water to escape. If you are thinking of using it as a terrarium planter, then you will need to use plants suited to that type of humid atmosphere and specialized growing conditions.
