I have a pink flowering dogwood, that has not produced any flowers this spring. It has wilting leaves and has a green color to it on the trunk.Any advice to remedy the problem will be appreciated.I live in the northeast and we had drought conditions last year, and I was wondering if that may have long lasting effects on it,because in the spring of 1999 the tree was gorgeous.Or did it get diseased.thanks |
Unfortunately, based on your description it is impossible to make a diagnosis of the problem. The green color on the trunk may possibly be normal, but the wilting certainly is not. The stress of the drought would contribute to making the tree more susceptible to any number of problems. You might want to consult with your county extension about the tree. Their telephone number is 622-4225. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. |
