| Suggested pruning for this plant includes removing any winter kill or truly dead branches, then trimming back to shape the bush or control its size as desired. Pruning lightly can encourage additional branching which in turn means more flowers, so you may want to do that in addition to removing dead branches. In some cases, too, a gardener will cut this plant nearly to the ground to rejuvenate it and to bring it down in height. |
