How far apart do plant sugar snap peas in a hill?

Since they need a trellis, these peas would not really be planted in a clump or hill. For a square foot gardening style of planting you would plant them about 3 inches apart in two parallel rows with the rows about three inches apart, or 8 plants to the square foot. You would need a tall trellis in between the rows since these plants grow 5 to 6 feet tall.
