Should lungwort (pulmonaria) plants be deadheaded or cut back after their early spring bloom? I find the leaves get very big so would like to know if they can be cut back without harming the plants.

You can certainly remove the spent flowers and stems, but the leaves should be left on the plant to grow and mature. They are considered to be one of its decorative features and they also help the plant regain strength to bloom again next year.
