| Bare root plants would be planted as soon as they are available (usually very early spring) and container grown plants would be best planted in early spring as well but can be planted at any time during the growing season. The crop would be minimal the first year because the plants will be directing their energy to becoming established, so the specific variety will not make that much of a difference on that score, in my experience. |
