I have had a flowering almond shrub for 3-4 years, every year it has had beautiful flowers. This year there were only a few flowers and very few leaves on the shrub. I have done nothing different to it. Please help. Thank you.

Based on your description I am not certain what is wrong with your plant, but it sounds like it has been stressed. It may be a result of last year's dry weather or perhaps something happened to it such as root disturbance or other physical damage; there is also a possibility that a late frost nipped the blooms. In my experience, too, sometimes this plant just is not all that long lived for no apparent reason. You might want to prune out any dead wood, give it some complete fertilizer such as 10-10-10 according to the label instructions, and make sure it is well watered this summer and see if it recovers.
