I have some grapes at my new place. What is the best way to water them? Right now they have lawn type sprinklers and the water sprays on the fruit. Is this okay?

Grapes seem to appreciate deep soaking every week as opposed to being sprinkled along with the lawn. But, as long as the foliage and fruit has a chance to dry out before nightfall, water from the sprinklers probably won't harm them. Grape leaves are subject to mildew and lingering water droplets or overly wet conditions can promote the disease. If you can change the course of your sprinklers you'll provide fewer opportunities for fungal diseases to develop on your grape vines.
