The Q&A Archives: Narcissus Poeticus

Question: Is there a daffodil by the name of Narcissus Poeticus or Poets' daffodil?

Answer: Yes, there are two types one might call by that name. One is a "Division" or grouping of daffodils called "Poeticus". Some cultivars here would be "Actaea","Cantabile", "Felindre", and "Milan". There is also, included under the Division for species and wild forms, the Narcissus poeticus recurvus or Pheasant's Eye daffodil. By any name, they are all lovely.
