I have a large area filled with calla lilies that get up to 4 feet high and bloom until mid-June. I would like to add other plants that will compliment the lilies and bloom after they have finished. Can you recommed two or three possibilities? By the way, I have 2 acres of land that keep me running all day. If those suggestions could be low maintenance I would appreciate it.

Sometimes, the simplest combination is the prettiest. You might try Shasta daisies and Baby's Breath with your callas. The lily gets to be the centerpiece in a cloud of tiny white baby's breath flowers. White is carried over into the petals of the Shasta daisies and their yellow centers contrast nicely with the green foliage of your callas. Or, try Frikart's asters with your callas. Their late summer display of cheerful blue flowers will give your flower bed an entirely different look. Another suggestion is interplanting with purple coneflower. All of these plants will be happy campers in your calla lily bed.
