The Q&A Archives: Will hollyhock bloom from seed?

Question: Will hollyhock bloom from seed the first year?

Answer: There are annual varieties which will bloom the first year from seed. Look for strains such as Indian Spring, Summer Carnival, Majorette, and Pinafore. Keep in mind that these annual types are not perennials (no repeat bloom from the same plants).
