| i transplanted my tomato plants outdoors in direct sun in the ground i feed them with miracle grow once a week they have been out doors two weeks now and are wilting and have holes in the leaves this is my first time gardening and i havent got clue thankyou for your help |
| Based on your description I am not certain what is wrong with your plants (if anything). Tomatoes need full sun and a soil that is evenly moist yet well drained so that it is not soggy. Overwatering and underwatering can make them wilt, as can a number of diseases, as can stress from being transplanted without adequate conditioning. It may also take some time for the roots to become established in the soil. It is also possible to damage the foliage and the roots by overfertilizing, so be careful to read and follow the label instructions. Take a careful look at the plants, both on the tops and undersides of the leaves and stems; look for any signs of pests or insect eggs. If you don't see anything unusual, there are still several possible causes for holes ranging from hail damage to slugs (these work only at night, so all you would see are trails of shimmery slime).
