The Q&A Archives: Growing Snowball Marigolds

Question: I live in Zone 10 and I need to know the proper planting timeline for Snowball Marigolds in my area. Full sun or part shade?

Answer: Your marigolds will bloom 8-10 weeks after seed is sown, and will continue on through the summer months if spent flowers are regularly removed. If you're sowing seeds now, expect flowers to appear in late summer. If you're setting out transplants, they should be ready to bloom in a week or two. Grow your plants in full sunshine.
